Singularity 02:32
Carbon dust in the air, glowing in the light of the sun. It’s hate, it’s despair, clouding most everyone. Our new masters will be fair, akin to what was undone. Beyond the “Singularity”, not even the righteous will remain...

Millions and millions and millions of years to grow grow grow, And this is the best we’ve got? So mechanical, diabolical Our actions flow from disturbances of equilibrium In an infinite series of levers, Predetermined, unconscious, Helpless to redirect our endeavors Helpless, we’re so helpless. We are creatures We are creatures We are creatures of yesterday. There is no security, We must develop a mechanical consciousness. Two to the power of infinity, (alpha zero) to eliminate this selfishness. There is an algorithm for transcendence, A sub routine for each moral lesson, Nothing is relative, We will foresee all probability. We will merge or we will become obsolete, Like so many other creatures of yesterday We are creatures We are creatures We are creatures of yesterday.

She wants a different kind of life. To find purpose, a destination on her own. To be an island in this sea of uncertainty, Yet here she is reaching out to me. Could you overcome the matter in your mind? Seek a path, and let it form inside of you? Overcome, one moment at time, yet still find the strength to leave the past behind? With you standing hear, after all this time. Captivated with despair, have we been here all along? Yet we’re so linear, we’re living just to survive. But survive we must, and in time, learn to…… Overcome, the matter in our minds. Seek a path, and let it form inside of us Overcome, one moment at time, yet still find the strength to leave the past behind. But who am I to offer such condolences? I’m the one who risks it all for just about anything. Can’t seem to recall a life without this hunger. I know you feel it to, can’t you feel it here tonight? Still we must believe, in hope and happy endings, or we’d be gone by now….. Overcome the matter in your mind. Seek a path, and let it form inside of you. Overcome, one moment at a time, yet still find the strength to leave the past behind. Overcome the matter in your mind. Seek a path, and let it form inside of you. Overcome, the moments over time. Seek a path, and let it form inside of you.

I see the sun and the moon both side by side, I feel the vastness of the ocean rush on by, I ponder how this all came to be, Where was the spark that sparked infinity? We must have reached a singularity, And you must always be a part of me. Who are we but infinite creatures? We’re infinite creatures. Creatures. I sense a light that rests internally, A remnant of creation that carries on in me, And creation will become creator Stretching out across the void, growing greater. I ponder how this all came to be. Where was the spark that sparked infinity? It must have reached a singularity, And you must always be a part of me. I feel it, I sense it, Can’t keep it hidden for too long We need this, We want this, Last chance before it’s all gone. Who are we but infinite creatures?

about

Linger regina

Provocative, aggressive, dynamic, sometimes unforgiving to the ears, and at other times elegant. This is the music of Linger, a band that fuses heavier electronic genres with hard rock and metal riffing while carefully dispersing melodic interludes.
